Box Size Requirements

USPS Package Size Guidelines.

  • The length plus girth (the distance around the thickest part) must be less than or equal to 84 inches.

  • For example, take a box that's 14" x 16" x 20".  The girth would be 14" + 16" + 14" + 16" = 60".  Adding a length of 20" gives you 80 inches total ... which is acceptable.

  • A box with this girth could have a length up to 24 inches.  At 25 inches, it exceeds the 84 inches total and becomes an oversized package.
